DESCRIPTION
A-TPST, A-011 – Liner Top Packer Setting Tool
The TPST is used to set and pack off compression set Liner Top Packers after successful setting of the Liner hanger and cementation. It is equipped with spring loaded dogs, that enable the transmission of required set down weight to set the Top Packer.
The TPST is contained within the Tie Back Receptacle, just above the liner running tool.
In order to set the Liner Top Packer or Liner Tie Back Packer, the tool is pulled out of the TBR and allows the dogs to extend next slack off weight transferred through the expanded dogs onto the packer extension.
