New Hydraulic booster series for technical gases and hydrogen
The DLE series of compressors operated with compressed air has been established on the market for years. René Himmelstein, Sales Director of Maximator GmbH, says: “Our customers keep telling us about applications in which it is not possible to use compressed air as a driving power. We therefore want to make our gas booster technology available with hydraulic drive”
An example of an application is electrolysis to gain hydrogen from wind power. In order to make sure that electricity which is not fed into the grid is not left unused, it is converted into hydrogen. The hydrogen is then compressed by a HDLE compressor and made available for further use.
The main customers for Maximator boosters traditionally come from the mechanical engineering, automotive, energy, chemical and petrochemical sectors as well as the oil and gas industry (on and offshore). The HDLE series and the HDLE booster systems are for use in explosion protected areas (ATEX) and are suitable for almost all technical gases and hydrogen.
In implementation of the respective solution, Maximator flexibly meets the customer’s requirements. Special applications are also implemented together with the customer until a ready-to-use system is designed. Multi-stage or parallel instalations can be realised if required.
Maximator HDLE boosters at a glance
- Four basic models are available that cover different pressure ranges
- HDLE 2 up to 50 bar, HDLE 5 up to 100 bar, HDLE 15 up to 300 bar, HDLE 30 up to 900 bar
- The flow capacity remains constant over the entire pressure range
- There are additional models with double stroke length for higher flow capacities
- Complete systems supplied are precisely customised to the client’s requirements.
